As part of the 2019 National Congress of the Guide Dog of Blind held at the Jean Monnier Congress Cité des Congrès d'Angers, Manuel Mengoli (behavioural veterinarian of CECBA) participated as a speaker in the closing plenary session entitled “The guide dog, a companion who works”.
Many topics were discussed, such as the welfare of the guide dog and the ethical aspects associated with his education as well as his role in helping the person.
The participation of Nathalie Marlois (behavioural veterinarian and president of Zoopsy), Delphine Harmel Cheminee (guide dog handler) and Nicolas Saint Pierre (MIRA Canada), under the animation of Vincent Millot (Director of Terre des Sciences) made this meeting very rich in exchanges and a very interesting sharing with the assembly and all the participants.
